CHOICES

I jotted this down at church Sunday:


TIME - the slow-cooker that reveals why's and reasons
Restlessness - why?
Why wasn't I content?
& how did I know when I'd arrived?

HE saw a train in a vision
And I needed a train out
King-pin
tiny piece that holds the plan together

Together we can do things
together we can have fun along the way
HOW DID WE KNOW?

Now that TIME has passed
& progress has been made
I wonder at decisions I made then
and contemplate REGRET.

Maybe I ran too hard & fast & far?
looking back... I had it good there, too
WHY WASN'T I CONTENT?

ONE THING has never changed
...I cling to You, I rest in You
I long for You
& find strength in You
I LOVE YOU, MY GOD!
